Which was Sylvain's only clue as Kirk turned sharply, digging his fist into the warrior's stomach. It wasn't the hardest punch he had ever thrown, but it wasn't soft either. It was certainly aimed at knocking some of the wind out of at least one of Sylvain's lungs and making him catch his breath. That was the aim, anyways. He wasn't going to be to bothered over the exact effectiveness - he just wanted the shot in.
Kirk's punch definitely does as intended and it catches Sylvain completely offguard who ends up stumbled back a bit as he doubles over and coughs.
"Ow!" Honestly, there isn't really much pain, he's out of breath and very intent on playing it up, "What was that for!?! All I did was ask if you and Fe had talked and then... tried to keep my mouth shut and let you know it was a good thing... probably."
He pouts dramatically but he knows exactly what he'd done and he really couldn't blame Kirk for his desire for a bit of revenge.
Kirk knew he hadn't hit Sylvain that hard, and he had aimed properly, but he didn't call Sylvain out for his theatrics. It felt good, at least, giving Sylvain a little of the abdominal pain he had suffered for the better part of several days until he saw Felix again.
"That was for a poor choice of words," he came closer and reached out, flicking Sylvain's forehead gently. "And since we're even now - we can talk about us."
"Poor choice of words?!" Ah, if that wasn't the story of his life.
He coughs again, still making a bit of a show, though whether the show is for him or for Kirk is unclear. It is most definitely an act though and Sylvain perks up and tilts his head a little when Kirk brings up 'them'.
"Okay. You wanna talk here? Go for a walk and chat? Chat over drinks? I'm good with whatever you're good with."
Yes, many poor choices of words. The kind that give people anxiety for hours on end, and like hell he needed that in - well - Hell.
"Calm down. We can just talk here, unless you feel better going for a walk," Kirk assured him, straightening. He gave Sylvain an encouraging smile. "Trust me, it's not bad. I'm not angry or anything, now that I got that hit in." He grinned. "Or we can talk after I kiss you. Your choice, really."
"Hm? I'm calm, man. Just didn't want you to be too bored just talking here, y'know?" Honestly, he really wasn't worried at all about their upcoming chat but he wasn't sure if Kirk wanted to sit around his place to do it.
He smirks at Kirk.
"Sure. Kissing sounds good too. Really good," He laughs softly, stepping closer.
Well, at least he was taking to the kiss idea well. That was a good gauge of where they stood. He reached out, hands cupping Sylvain's hips and tugging him in just enough that he could lean in, pressing his lips to Sylvain's.
In Sylvain's own opinion, if he had any talent at anything, it was flirting and making out... and then sabotaging the relationship. Stepping closer, he contently leans into the kiss, his hands moving to rest against Kirk's chest.
